the views. Only a short drive away from the town of Castelnaudary,
famous for its Cassoulet, with it’s shops, restaurants,
cafes, market and the Canal du Midi – ideal for cycling,
walking and boating – everything is within easy reach yet Domaine
de Bellevue is private and secluded. The property has
been completely renovated to a high standard, yet retaining all
its character, marble fireplaces, tall windows, tiled and parquet
floors, light & spacious rooms with wonderful views from

Accommodation: -
On the ground floor, a large entrance hall with tiled floor, wonderful
oak staircase leading to the first floor, fully fitted luxury kitchen
(seats 8) with AGA (winter only), American Fridge/Freezer, Microwave
oven, self cleaning electric oven, electric hob and dishwasher and
with access to the back of the house. Superb lounge with marble fireplace,
ideal for cosy log fires (winter only) and double south facing
windows with views over the countryside to the Pyrenees. Large dinning
room seating 12 with marble fireplace and door to a small balcony
at the back of the house, cloakroom and access down to the laundry
room, fully fitted with washing machine, dryer, ironing board & steam
iron.
On the 1st floor, Bedroom 1 (double
king size ) with marble fireplace, double windows south facing
to the Pyrenees and en-suite double shower room. Bedroom 2 (double
king size), romantic four poster bed, double windows with views of
the Montagne Noire and en-suite bathroom with pedestal bath, bided,
toilet & wash hand basin, Bedroom 3 (double
king size), with views to the Montagne
Noire and with en-suite bathroom, bath & shower, bidet & wash
hand basin.
On the 2nd floor, spacious landing/library/seating
area with views to the Pyrenees, Bedroom 4 (double
king size or 2 singles) with marble fireplace, walk
in cupboard and double windows south to the Pyrenees, Bedroom 5 (double
king size or 2 singles), marble fireplace and balcony with views
to the Montagne Noire, Bedroom 6 (double
king size) Moroccan four poster bed, walk in cupboard and views to
the Montagne Noire. Luxury bathroom with bath & shower
and wash hand basin. From the landing, staircase to the 3rd
floor, with its superb roof terrace with 360 degree views
and sun loungers – a very special place to enjoy the rising & setting
of the sun and the wonderful views.
The house is fitted with gas central heating (winter only), wireless
connection for computers, CD player, SKY TV and DVD player. There
is no telephone in the house. Unfortunately we are not able to accept
pets.
Outside: -
Enjoy the wonderful barbecue area with seating for 12, the gazebo
and sun loungers or the additional seating areas around the house with
panoramic views south over the fields to the Pyrenees. From there you
can follow the path down to the pool ( 12m x 6m ) and its terrace,
south facing with views and fully equipped with sun loungers & parasols – the
ideal spot for sunbathing. Cris-crossing through the Pine, Cyprus,
Cedar & Green Oak woodland, are many paths for you to enjoy a
stroll – ideal for children to explore and spot Hare, Rabbits
and many variety of birds, deer and occasionally wild boar.

Situated mid-way between Toulouse and Carcassonne, on the outskirts
of Castelnaudary, Domaine de Bellevue benefits from
easy access via daily Ryanair flights into Carcassonne or Easy Jet,
BA, Air France, Fly B into the main airport Blagnac at Toulouse. The
property is ideally situated to explore the region, the medieval city
of Carcassonne, Toulouse-La Ville Rose and the famous Cathar castles,
Montsegur, Rennes le Chateau ( featured in Dan Brown’s Da Vinci
Code ), Revel and it’s famous Saturday morning market and the
Canal du Midi only 5 minutes away. Domaine de Bellevue is
ideal for exploring the area or just lazing around the pool enjoying
the spectacular views. Good walking and cycling country and boat hire
on the Canal du Midi.
Extra details:-
For 2 week bookings, in between maid service of 3 hrs is included. All
luxury linen and towels are provided, including pool towels. Babysitting
and additional cleaning on request at extra charge. A small charge is
made for heating for winter bookings.
